Eating foods high in cholesterol on a regular basis can spell trouble for your body. Cholesterol is everywhere when you eat any meal there are chances you are introducing cholesterol in your body. Switching to poultry such as turkey and chicken in place of steaks and pork can help you avoid foods high in cholesterol. It is important however that you remove the skin on any poultry dish.

You can still enjoy pork and beef in your diet by choosing leaner cuts. If you want to have pork in your diet then choose to eat loin chops or tenderloin. When looking at leaner cuts of beef,flank, eye of round, and top round roast are just some of the cuts that you can choose .

In many cases it is not necessary to completely change your diet. Small substitutions like low fat yogurt,margarine instead of butter, leaner cuts of meat, and smaller portions for everything are great ways to live a healthier lifestyle.
